About

I’m a full time paramedic and part time trader based in Detroit, MI. Since starting with penny stocks at 18, I’ve traded equities and spot forex with a marked lack of success. After getting introduced to options as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan years ago, I decided to revist my old college textbooks and begin trading a new market. Dissatisfied with the lack of quantitative reasoning and obvious gaps in knowledge that most options trading websites show, I decided to start my own. VegaMedic is an experiment to find out if a paramedic working 60 hours a week can take $2500 and turn it into a successful options portfolio by examining volatility, its relationship to options pricing models, and practicing smart risk management. Let’s find out what unfolds.
